The Moral Order

In our party, we frequently discuss the Moral Order, a belief in the moral absolutes of right and wrong. This does not mean perfection; we constitutionalists do not believe we are “better” than other people who do not share our views. The Bible we follow is clear: “As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one,” Romans 3:10. Our party is made up of imperfect, sinful, flawed human beings, including the author of this piece.
The Founding Fathers understood the new nation would be governed by imperfect men. In Federalist 51, James Madison wrote, “If men were angels, no government would be necessary.”
Yes, we have always had sinful men – and women – committing unholy acts in America. There are two differences now: 1) many unholy acts are being sanctioned and enabled by government officials (federal, state, and even local) through laws and ordinances they pass, and 2) those who speak out against these wrongs are now being punished by the same authorities who were charged with upholding the law and morality while in office.
A Key Example

Same-sex “marriage” is a key example. We were told after Obergefell v. Hodges in 2015 that this alternate form of union is now the “law of the land,” even though the Supreme Court cannot make law. Everyone knows men and women are biologically different by God’s intentional design; yet, college and professional sport association authorities began allowing obvious males like Lia Thomas to compete against and undress with biological females. When female athletes like Riley Gaines spoke out, they were told they were the problem, and they needed to talk to counselors about their transphobia.
Vices and behaviors which twenty years ago had stigma attached to them and would have been hidden for fear of family and co-workers finding out, are now unashamedly paraded down the main streets, written into television and movie scripts and promoted by candidates as “rights” they will defend if elected. Shame has been replaced with “pride” and in many quarters, wrong has been made right.
Beliefs That Used to Be Givens
Here are some beliefs which used to be givens in our society –
- Stealing is wrong.
- Bearing false witness and/or lying under oath is wrong.
- Physically assaulting people and vandalizing property are not protected forms of speech or expression.
- Men and women are biologically different.
- People are responsible for their own actions and decisions.
This is not a complete list, but if the citizens of this nation can no longer agree on even these few basic truths, then America is finished. After all, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Psalms 11:3. A nation can have a booming economy, strong and secure borders, little to no poverty, a sturdy infrastructure, and well-funded schools, but without a moral and just people living in fear of God governing it, none of that will matter. No civilization can long endure without a fixed moral code.
The Single Best Command
Jesus’ message of “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” Matthew 7:12 is the single best command for the governing of oneself and for nations alike.

Words of Encouragement

I want to leave you with words of encouragement, my friends. Elected leftists, through their allies in the mainstream press, academia and in the “entertainment” industry, want Christians, those of us on the right who tout and live by traditional, Godly values of right and wrong to believe we are done, that they, the enlightened progressives, are moving America forward, that the “Bible-thumpers” have lost the culture war. Friends,
- God is in control. America is being tested by a God who has blessed us with much. National repentance is required from us all. As Thomas Jefferson said, “Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep forever.”
- Do not be fooled by the left’s claims that they outnumber us and that the majority are with them. The left says after every Supreme Court ruling in their favor that an issue is “decided,” that you right-wingers lost, and it is over. That is absurd. Leftists know full well that Supreme Court rulings have been overturned before. Roe v. Wade, which seemed etched in marble, is gone now. Marble is strong, but it can be smashed. Lia Thomas’ ill-gotten swimming medals have been stripped away this year by the same NCAA that awarded them to him. The Supreme Court ruled against taking Donald Trump off of state ballots in 2024. The justices also ruled that district judges cannot impose nationwide injunctions over We the People or the executive branch.
- The once “silent majority” is fighting back. Whereas in the past many schoolboard meetings were lopsided with leftists filling the rooms, whispering in the ears of board members, they must now contend with a sea of engaged, informed parents with traditional values who, thanks to alternate media, are now educated (pun intended) on the perversions and woke teachings being imposed on their children behind parents’ backs and without their consent. Leftists have been reduced to name-calling and pushing for the censorship of “disinformation” because the facts are not on the leftist’s side…and they know it.
- The Democrat Party’s rhetoric is tearing their party apart. After years of branding their opponents fascists, and establishment Democrats (ED) like Maxine Waters saying Democrat supporters should “get in their faces (of Trump supporters) and let them know they are not welcome,” Senator Schumer saying to Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, “You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.” and Democrats not condemning rioting, physical assaults, and takeovers on college buildings and public roads, have stirred up factions in their party (communists), emboldening the lawless to “…wax worse and worse” across America. Now Gen Z and even Millennial communist Democrats are pushing their woke litmus tests on ED, finding them to be “not progressive enough,” calling for even Rep. Alexia Cortez and Hakeem Jeffries, communists themselves, to be primaried.
What can ED do to restore order and retake control of their party before more extreme radicals take it over and push them out? If ED now say says, “We still oppose Trump, but we were wrong. He is not Hitler or a nazi. We only said those things over the years to energize minorities and young progressives to get them to the polls and vote Democrat. Please, we need to work across the aisle with the other party to get things done.” No, it is too late for ED to walk their rhetoric back to 2015 levels.
Take heart, my brothers and sisters in Christ. It is far from over. We are not done here.
