In recent years I have noticed a disturbing trend, educators refer to their students as their children. All in the name of ramming property taxes sky high. Public School teachers think by saying “my children” they care more, than saying “my students.” There are moral ramifications of such a viewpoint, namely:
· Children are under the God-given authority of their parents, from birth until they leave their parent’s home, and should honor their father and mother throughout their lives. Students are under the parent-delegated authority of their teachers, while attending classes.
· Our tax-funded “Public School Systems” assert the erroneous doctrine that children are under the direct authority of the State. Tony Evers is all in with the socialist indoctrination of the “state’s children.” The idea of “Local Control,” while better than Common Core; still asserts that children are under the authority of the Local Municipality or Local School District, which leads to schools claiming a wider and wider jurisdiction, resulting in the erosion parental authority.
The position of the Milwaukee County Constitution Party is straight forward. There is no Biblical Mandate for the Civil Authority to be involved in education. The Bible, in Deuteronomy 6:6-7 assigns direct authority to the Father of that child. Teachers and schools work to assist the father in his mission. Not the other way around.
Our Constitution Party of Wisconsin Platform states: “The State Government has no legitimate role in either subsidizing or regulating education. CPOW supports amending the Wisconsin Constitution to remove the State of Wisconsin from any role in education.” The Milwaukee County Constitution Party supports an orderly transition to free market education including Christian and Private Schools.
There exists no grant of power in the US Constitution for the Federal Government to be involved in education. Our Platform further states: “Since the Constitution grants the Federal Government no authority over education, the 10th Amendment applies: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
All teaching is related to basic assumptions about God and man. Education cannot be separate from religious faith. The law of our Creator assigns the authority and responsibility of educating children to their parents. Education should be free from all federal government subsidies, including vouchers, tax incentives, and loans. The United States Department of Education should be abolished and all federal laws subsidizing or regulating the education of children.
The Milwaukee County Constitution Party realizes that the Government school nightmare, conceived in socialism and dedicated to expanding socialism has been an ongoing crime, from Horace Mann in Massachusetts, to John Dewey, who said, “You can’t make socialists out of individualists. Children who know how to think for themselves spoil the harmony of the collective society,” to today’s monstrosities known as public school teachers. (If you can destroy children, teaching them immoral doctrine, to get an easy paycheck, you are a monster.) While vouchers help “minority” students get a better education, they do so with my money and are an additional layer of funding for the taxpayer, same thing with charter schools. I am into taking first steps to achieve long term goals, and a good first step would be to subtract taxes collected for vouchers and charters from Public School District funding, and that would require a State Law. Finally, MPS has a referendum on the 4/7/20 election to increase their tax revenue to pad their pockets. This isn’t about students, it is about overpaid, spoiled, socialist adults. We say vote against this tax increase.
