Divine Judgment on Roe v Wade

By Riley J. Hood—Chairman, Milwaukee County Constitution Party

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever:

the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.” Psalm 19:9

Roe v Wade was handed down by the Supreme Court of the United States on January 22, 1973.  People say there was no Divine Judgment, yet I assure judgment was swift.  The same day, former President Lyndon Baines Johnson died.

The next day, January 23rd, 1973; we announced our plans to pull out of Vietnam.  Later that year, we were hit with the OPEC Oil Embargo.  President Nixon, who by his inaction assented to Roe v Wade was forced to resign.  In 1975 Saigon fell, and it was characterized as an American defeat.  I was eight years old when roe v Wade was handed down, but I didn’t hear anything from any Christian pulpit condemning SCOTUS, or declaring the events of the day as Divine retribution.

We have a people in America who are too skeptical to admit that God still rules in the affairs of men, yet the Almighty is more than capable of recompensing tribulation upon the heads of those who hate him.  That includes ending the Nation we called the United States of America.
